The Milford School Department has a vacancy in the Food Service Department. Monday through Friday approximately 25 hours per week. The preferred candidate will have prior experience in this area.

Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Must be able to work productively and cordially with other staff members

Must be able to adjust to a variety of duties and responsibilities

1st grade had a fun week of reading and celebrating read across America Day all week! We did a fun theme each day of the week. We ended our week with 8th grade buddies. Our 8th grade buddy read a Dr. Seuss book to a pair of 1st graders and helped find and write rhyming words!

On behalf of the Maine Department of Education and the Freemasons of Maine, one of our students was chosen as a state level winner for the Read to Ride Challenge. Meladore (MJ) Small will be getting a new bike! Congratulations, MJ!!!!
We were excited to see some familiar faces today for our 8th grade visit from Old Town High School! It’s always great to see our Wildcat Alum! Thank you for talking with our students today! Permission slips went home today with 8th graders for the rescheduled pep rally at OTHS on March 24th! 8th grade parents/guardians please return them ASAP. Thank you!

Here is a reminder for 1st grade students!

Yesterday our 5th - 8th grade students spent the morning at Maine Youth Fish and Game ice fishing! The students enjoyed hands on learning experiences and made great memories! Thank you to Maine Youth Fish and Game, Warden Parker, Milford Fire, Old Town Trading Post, Sunset Transportation, Student Council, our amazing staff and many chaperones for making this possible! We can’t wait for next year!

Old Town High School’s pep rally is cancelled today due to no school at the high school.
There will be no school today, Friday, February 17th due to weather.
We want to wish our cheerleaders good luck tonight at their competition! The cheering competition can be viewed live starting at 6 p.m. tonight on BCS Patriots Stream.

We’d like to send a huge thank you to The Old Town Trading Post for donating the bait for today’s middle school ice fishing trip!



EARLY RELEASE AND WINTER BREAK REMINDER
This is a reminder that Friday, February 17th is an early release day. Lunch will be served and students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m. Please plan accordingly for your child.
Students will return to classes on Monday, February 27th after the winter break. We hope everyone has a happy, healthy break!
Milford PTO is excited to share our plans for the PreK-2 playground! We are hoping to have it ready for next school year! Thank you to all of our sponsors and a special thank you to Sunset Transportation for the installation donation! We can’t wait to see our students enjoying it!



The middle school ice fishing trip is Thursday! Please make sure to send in your middle school students permission slip so they can attend!
