Mrs. Estes’ class had our Annual Trip on the Polar Express! Students enjoyed watching the movie comfortably in their pjs. We also had a yummy snack of s’mores and milk. When the movie was over they received a special early present from the North Pole! A big thank you to the folks at home to help make this a special day for the kiddos!

Second grade did a Mayflower STEM activity last week! Students were asked to build boats out of tinfoil, styrofoam cups and masking tape that could carry pilgrims (pennies) to the new world. We had a new second grade record today with a boat holding 267 Pennie’s! Great work second grade!

A message from Mrs. Curtis: After logging 500 minutes of reading over the summer, Dominic turned in his Reading Passport in September. Out of many participants in our school, two student names were drawn from a hat to be entered into a statewide drawing for a new bike and helmet. We are so happy to share with you that one of our own students was the recipient of this wonderful prize. Congratulations, Dominic! I know you will get lots of riding time on your new bike! Thank you to the Freemasons of Maine and the Maine Department of Education for sponsoring such a worthwhile challenge.
