The Read to Ride Challenge

June 15, 2022 By tclark

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are once again participating in the Maine Department of Education Summer Read to Ride Reading Challenge. In the past four years we have had the pleasure of having two student winners chosen from a statewide drawing! So, this is exciting stuff!

Information was recently sent home with your child. Please encourage  him/her  to read at least 500 minutes this summer. You can also count minutes that you read to your child. All reading counts! Record the dates, minutes read, and the titles on the recording sheet provided. Return the passport to your child’s classroom teacher by September 9th. All completed passports will be entered into a school level drawing. Two students from each school will be drawn and entered into the Maine Department of Education’s statewide drawing for a bike on September 30th.  Winners will be notified by October 14th. Happy Reading!

Below is a link to all of this information including the Passport in case you need more pages.
