Gifted and Talented Program

This is the third year that we have a gifted and talented program for our students.  The gifted and talented coordinator will work with teachers and parents to assess if students qualify for this program and then work with the school staff and administration to create learning experiences for our G/T Students.

Special Education Programs

Special Education services and related services are available to any student who has been identified as a person with a handicapping condition by a Pupil Evaluation Team (P.E.T.).  Individualized Education Plans (I.E.P.’s) are developed to address the student's individual educational needs.  Other support services such as speech therapy, occupational/physical therapies, counseling, and services for students with vision and hearing impairments are also available for these identified students.

Title 1 Services

Title 1 services are educational services beyond the regular classroom instruction in the areas of math and reading. This program supplements the regular program and is available to those who qualify under Title I guidelines.

Section 504 Plans

There are some students that do not qualify for special education services, yet have a physical or developmental disability that falls under federal legislation for a Section 504 plan. School administration will follow up and work with parents to set up and implement these plans if a student has a qualifying condition.
