Phase 1:
Reconstruction of Field Complex

In the fall of 2007, with the help and cooperation of the Milford School Committee, Chaisson Field Committee, Town Selectmen, and with the generous donations of several distinquished community members, Phase One of the Chaisson Field Restoration Project began.
By the Spring of 2008 Phase One reconstruction was completed. New softball and baseball fields were constructed sporting pitcher warmup bull pens. In addition to the bat and ball fields a new regulation size soccer field was constructed.
To provide added recreational opportunities for all citizens regardless of age and agility, a 1/3 mile paved walking track was constructed around the perimeter of the field complex.
Lastly, Phase One reconstruction included the construction of new fencing surrounding the entire Chaisson Field complex. With the completion of Phase One, the battered
dilapidated field has been transformed into a community recreational complex providing recreational opportunities for all Milford citizens to ultilize and cherish.

In June of 2008 a crowd of over 350 consisting of students, citizens, town officials, distinquished guests and family members gathered at Chaisson Memorial Field for a rededication ceremony in honor of Thomas Chassion.
The Chaisson Field community restoration project is an exciting but challenging community effort. Although Phase One reconstruction of the new fields and walking track are complete and a great success, there are still many services, amenities and funding needed to complete Phase Two.

The Chaisson Field Committee is working very diligently to address the current and future needs of the Chaisson Memorial Field complex. However, we could use your help. Join in the fun with your friends, neighbors and community by volunteering your time and services in acheiving this worthwhile community project..
