March 16th, 2020
Dear Parents, Staff and Community Members,
Thank you to everyone for your continued patience as we bring you updated information. We want to give you the newest information as quickly as possible. Below you will find important information about school work packets, personal item/medication pick up, and food assistance.
Here is what you need to know…
Personal Items/ Medication:
We have been asked about how to get their child’s personal items and medication left at school. We will be allowing a parent or guardian to come to school with their student(s) from 8:00-2:00 on Tuesday 3/17/2020. At this time you can collect your take home packet and other necessities. These learning opportunities are recommended and strongly encouraged to assist your child in maintaining academic skills and passion for learning during this unexpected school closure.
Grades 7 and 8 Laptops (Not 6th grade):
7th and 8th grade students may pick up laptops when the take home packets are picked up on Tuesday 3/17/2020.
Meal Information:
Meals are available for Milford Students through RSU#34 during school closure. On Wednesday, families may stop by the Old Town High School cafeteria between 10:00 a.m. and Noon. Four meals for each child in the vehicle will be available – 2 for Wednesday and 2 for Thursday. On Friday six meals will be provided for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The following Monday four meals will be provided, Wednesday four more and Friday six. This will continue as long as schools remain closed.
Meals are available to anyone up to the age of 18 and they should be present to receive the meals. Meals must be taken off site. If there are questions or concerns, please contact Mrs. Conary at 827-2252 ext. 103. If she is unavailable, please leave a message and she will return your call as soon as she can!
Food Assistance:
Food items will be available for pick up on Tuesday, March 17th from 8-2:00pm in the front lobby of the school.
School counseling:
Please turn over this letter for more information about how to access our school counselor during this closure.
Building Access:
During this official school closing, teachers, administrators and office staff will still have access to the building, but the building will be locked and not open to the general public. Teachers will be available to answer questions by email during closure. Emails will be checked periodically.
Scheduled Events:
All school events are cancelled until further notice.
We will continue to keep you updated as new information presents. Our community is strong and we know that together we can make this time, one of support. Thank you for your support during this difficult time.
