School Campus

The Dr. Lewis Libby School is located in a quiet rural setting in the small Penobscot River town of Milford. .The school campus sits on 17 acres of old farmland.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In 1992, the school underwent major renovations. A new facility was constructed while the existing facility was renovated.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After modernization, the combined facilities feature over 20 standard classrooms, multiple science labs, a new computer lab, a speech and hearing classroom, cafeteria, stage, and 5000 square foot gymnasium.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The campus grounds offers two elementary school playgrounds, basketball courts, an activity area for middle schoolers, and the newly renovated Chaisson Field Complex.

The Chaisson Field Complex underwent a complete reconstruction in 2007. New softball, baseball, and soccer fields were constructed. The softball and base ball fields feature pitching warm-up bull pens. New dugouts and a concession stand are planned for the ner future.

 

 

The entire recreational field area has been enclosed with new fencing. In addition to the new sport fields, a 1/3 mile paved walking track has been constructed around the perimeter of the field complex providing a recreational opportunities for all ages and citizens.

 

In June of 2008 the Chaisson Field Complex was rededicated in honor of Thomas Chaisson
