Notice to parents as required by the Federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act requires that all states, school districts, and schools to provide annual report cards to parents and communities. Each report card contains data about state assessments, attendance and graduation rates, and information about “highly qualified” teachers.
The report cards are made available to the public by the following methods:
- Published on the school website.
- Presented to the Milford School Committee (Minutes may be obtained in the Superintendent’s Office).
- Sent to all households in the SAU.
Parents interested in accessing the professional qualifications of a teacher should make the request in writings to the Superintendent, Milford School Department, 13 School Street, Milford, Maine 04461.
Understanding Your Child’s 2019 MEA Individual Student Report:
The Milford School Department utilizes all assessment data to help inform our practices at the district, school, classroom and individual levels for our students. Although we encourage students and parents to participate fully in our assessment program, it is important to note that parents/guardians may opt their child out of state testing. If you are interested in doing so, please reach out to your child’s principal to make this request in writing.
