All children will become successful life long learners who are responsible, community-oriented citizens.

Our Vision

The vision of the Dr. Lewis S. Libby School is to promote the educational, social, physical and emotional development of our students so that they may function to the best of their individual abilities.  This vision can best be reached by fostering responsible community-oriented citizens who demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • Caring and Kindness
  • Honesty
  • Respect for Self and Others
  • Cooperation
  • Responsibility
  • Consistency

Teachers, administrators, support staff and community need to form a unified partnership to foster growth opportunities for all students to become lifelong learners and responsible, community-oriented citizens.  These opportunities must reflect high standards of excellence in a climate that is safe, positive, and community-oriented.  These opportunities will also include responsive curriculum that is differentiated, standards-based, challenging, integrative, exploratory and is aligned with the Maine Learning Results.
